Soccer season for us is now over, it was a fun few months! I have had multiple requests this month for soccer ball cookies and have been happy to oblige. (Oblige...isn't that a funny word?)
Here are a few...
I used to hate making soccer balls, all those pentagons are kind of a pain, but after the third order in the past month I got over it.
I will tell you, though, I did make an extra batch for my son's soccer team, because he kind of gets the short end of the stick when it comes to sugar cookies. I am constantly making cookies for others and by the time it comes around to a family event I am cookied-out! You know the cobbler's son and all that...
Of all the soccer balls I made this season I didn't take a single photo of them bagged and ready to go ~ I think I left my mind somewhere. If you happen to come across it, please let me know...I can pay you in cookies :)

Isn't that funny? I'm the same way with making cookies for family. I want to make something DIFFERENT! Great job on the soccer balls...I think they are really HARD to make! :)

These are the cutest!! Fantastic job!! My two boys' birthdays are in two weeks and they have requested soccer ball cookies to go with their cake. I've been dreading the whole "pentagon" thing and worried that they won't look right. I hope mine turn out as awesome as yours!!

They are really cute, I bet they tasted so good.
Poor kid, always watching Mom baking and then sending all the goodies away. My daughter is in the same position watching me design dessert tables for others and never getting to partake. Your cookies look great!
