Snacking.
It's bad. BAD.
I could snack all day and never eat a meal.
Honestly, I don't always snack on junk food, just usually.
Tryin' to keep it real, folks.
I wish I could be one of those people who cut up fresh veggies at the beginning of the week and portion them out for daily consumption.
I guess I just don't want it bad enough because, currently, there are no portioned out veggies in my fridge.
There is only crazy good snack mix beckoning me from the kitchen counter.
Do you hear it calling? Listen...can you hear it?
It's yummy...and as most snack mixes go, addictive.
So, if you are trying to work on your snacking situation, DON"T make this.
But, if you're cool with the snacking, go for it.
Just sayin'.
I have had this recipe bookmarked since September or something, and I decided to make it now because of the Easter candy that still lingers in my pantry.
This is another one to help use up any leftovers, because you could throw just about anything in here and I pretty much guarantee that it would be good....except maybe a portioned out veggie...
but, you know what...coated in white chocolate that red pepper wedge might stand a chance in my house ;)
Munchie Mix
adapted from Megan's Cooking
24 oz. white chocolate
4 cups pretzels sticks
4 cups Golden Grahams
1 cup plain M&M's
1 cup peanut butter M&M's (or you could use peanut M&M's or just salted peanuts)
2 cups mini marshmallows
1/2 cup rainbow sprinkles (optional)
Line 2 baking sheets with wax paper...or if you have a silicone liner that works great
In large, microwave safe bowl melt 6 oz. white chocolate on 50% power for 1 minute. Stir. Continue in 30 second intervals until JUST melted.

Spread on one of your lined baking sheet to set.
Once pretzels are set, melt remaining chocolate in you microwave safe bowl. Follow same directions for melting chocolate.
*If you prefer to use a double boiler that is great, or follow instructions on the package of white chocolate you purchased.
Add Golden Grahams to melted chocolate, stir to coat.
Next add M&M's and marshmallows to the mix.
When all of this is coated, transfer to a large bowl and add prepared pretzels.
As you add the pretzels, you can break them apart.
Now if you choose, add the sprinkles, and then stir all together.
Spread mixture on both baking sheets...you will need both because it is a lot of mix and you don't want it piled too high, so it will set faster.
Pop this in fridge for a few minutes and take out when set...
Combine in a bowl and cover until ready to munch!
There's a little bit of everything, and you can add or omit to suit your own taste!
So, make it if you crazy like that...you won't be sorry...or maybe you will be ;)

mmmmm looks super yummy!
YUMMY lots of yummy treats in one
I am having a sugar craving and I am in the middle of my work day. These sure looks yummy
Yum that looks amazing!!
I am with you, I could snack all day and never think twice about it. This would be a nice but dangerous snack to keep in my desk at work! Yum
Definitely adding this to my "To Make" list... looks yummy and I'm sure the kiddo will love it. Thanks!
Much more fun the veggies.

This is my kind of snack! Though I have a feeling I would have a hard time making myself stop eating it...
If it makes you feel any better, veggies are not, I repeat, ARE NOT a snack. Like you said, just keeping it real!
But this stuff is addictive and it makes me smile. That makes it a perfect snack in my book! ;)
I'm glad you liked it too!
This looks so good!! I am also a huge snacker, I way prefer snacks over actual meals. I'm pretty sure that the only vegetables I have in my house are half a head of lettuce, a purple onion, and a bag of frozen corn..I'm not a bad mom, I promise. ;)
Sigh. This is why I don't buy snacks. I definitely crave veggies at times. But not the way I crave white chocolate.
What WOULD happen if I covered a red pepper in chocolate. Hmmmm
Looks unbelievable! I love the salty with the sweet!
I love snack mixes - you can get away with eating a bunch of different things, yet tell yourself you only had one snack. :) This looks yummy!
I would eat the whole batch. You know what I just discovered, white chocolate strawberries. That is really really good.
I wish I could snack all day - this looks amazing!
Oh wow, my kids would be all over this snack mix! Yummy.
Hh wow, that's alot of empty calories.. tasty, tasty calories :p.
I am one of those people who plan out my snacks for the week, but I don't go to the extent of cutting up veggies. Plain veggies are lame! I'm more of a sugar free yogurt, fruit or left overs person.
I love your crazy snack mix!

Just pretzels and chocolate would've been enough, and then the rest! AMAZING!! d
awesome. i don't need all the other stuff--simply the white-chocolate-coated pretzels would satisfy me! the other items make the treats much more colorful and fun though, so i guess i'll allow 'em... :)
Do ya think i would be the one who would coat the veggies in stevia sweetened white chocolate, probably! Yuck that does sound nasty! Your version sounds oh so yummy. Glad you went for it :)
I love snack stuff like this, it's the perfect combination of sweet and salty!
This looks great! Wish I had some now to try!
great snack!
You're so funny. While I'm no longer skinny, I am totally okay with my snacking ways. Bring it on! :)

i am starving and these seriously look sooo super dee duper delish! i am going to go get the stuff to make them! thanks for sharing. now let me wipe my saliva off the computer screen and desk!!
Your snack mix would beat an old bag of cut-up veggies any day. This looks awesome!
If I started making and eating this I just may never bake another cookie again!
Just discovered your blog and I love it!! Seems like you read my mind and post recipes I can only drool over...and then run over to the kitchen and make them :)
Oh my. This looks a lot like the snack mix bars that I make and am completely powerless to resist. I should probably stay far away from this recipe!
