Big Girl Smore's Pie

I hope you don't mind if I share this deliciousness with you.
I know I just did a post about Mini S'mores Pies not too long ago.

But this one is different.
It's not mini.
This is big girl pie.
This is the kind of pie that will bring you to tears.
Yes, you'll cry for pie.
You'll cry because of its utter and ridiculous deliciousness.
Cry because you have lost all self control and are standing over an entire pie with a spoon and smeared chocolate on your cheek.
Cry because you can see your swim suit dream disappearing bite by euphoric bite.
Cry because you can't believe you have lived this long without it in your life.
Cry because you have now devoured most of the pie without taking a photo...oh, wait..ummm...maybe that's just me.

Believe in the power of marshmallow and chocolate.

Smore's Pie
adapted from Hershey's

6 Regular sized Hershey Bars, broken into pieces
3/4 cup white sugar
1 cup all purpose flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 cup salted butter (1 stick)
1 egg
1 tsp vanilla
1 cup graham cracker crumbs
1 7oz container of Marshmallow Creme
wax paper

Preheat oven to 350°
Spray a 9" pie pan with baking spray.
Beat butter and sugar together until combined.
Add egg and vanilla.
On low add flour, graham cracker crumbs and baking powder.
Divide the dough in half.
Press half the dough in the bottom and up the sides of the prepared pie pan.
Evenly spread the Marshmallow Creme over the bottom crust.
Now spread the broken chocolate pieces on top of the Marshmallow Creme.
Now, form the remaining dough into a ball and place on a piece of wax paper.  Top with another piece of wax paper and flatten into a 9" circle.
Carefully peel the top piece of wax paper off.
Flip the crust onto the top of the pie and peel the other piece of wax paper off.
Pinch the dough together to form the crust.
Bake 20 minutes until lightly browned.
Cool completely on wire rack and slice when ready to serve...if you can wait :)

I just made this pie. Let me put it this way. It's 97º here today. My kitchen isn't air conditioned. It was totally worth it!!! I may never made any other kind of pie!!! I'm taking it to the 4th of July party!

I do have one question. Does it need to be refrigerated?
