Wrestle Mania!

Here's a short and sweet post.
I'm over pastels....at least for this week ;)
So I will hit you with this cake.
It's anything BUT pastels and was a welcome change for me to make last week when I was drowning in pink and yellow.
This was for a little guy's birthday party and was pretty fun to make.
It was a chocolate cake with chocolate fudge filling.
A serious cake for a serious WWE lovin' kid!
We aren't huge WWE fans over here, but that's mostly because we have wrestling on a regular basis right in my living room.
The line up usually goes something like this:
Dad vs. Oldest
Dad vs. Oldest and second oldest
Dad vs all 4 boys.
Dad gets injured.
Dad out.
Brothers vs. Brothers
Laughter.
More laughter
tide starts to turn....
"Hey! That's not fair! COME ON"
Tears.
Crying.
More laughing
 and then full blown wailing.

There you have it...any given night in my house.
Love boys.
It's probably better for me that they don't watch WWE because there would be all sorts of new moves to try, and that would get real ugly.
Needless to say, they are very familiar with us over at the Emergency room ;)

Hope everyone had a great Easter holiday!

Your cake makes me want to say, "RAHRR!" or is it "ROAR!"...nephews often do this...lol.

Your cake is amazing! Ah wrestling in the family room...memories, I was always the one getting hurt :( being a girl and all!

I love the 'injured' Dad part because that is so true in our house and Dad is sometimes the one who initiates it all. Ugh, they never learn ;) lol
This cake is absolutely adorable for a kids' birthday. How fun! You always do a beautiful job.

I HATE wrestling, mostly because I'm wimpy and always loose haha, whoever I LOVE your cake!

Very very cool. My sons would LOVE that cake! I better not let my kids see this because they will expect that I can do the same, which I can't.

Oooh, that chocolate fudge filling has got me craving sugar right now. It seems kind of strange to say this, but that is such a cute cake! & ahah, your family story is great, it reminds me of when me and my dad used to "box" when I was little =).

This cake is awesome, I sure all the guys will love it. True about the horsing around, tears always flow and I used to find it was the Dad's that never knew when to quit teasing the kids!

You guys are too funny. Thankfully there are no men living in my house...otherwise I can only imagine the casualties. The cake looks great!

My brother would love that cake. He used to love wrestle mania.

LOL, I can totally relate to your living room wrestling matches. We have the same thing going on at my house except my youngest is a girl though she's pretty tough.

Hope you guys had a wrestling free weekend! :)

I love your cake, you did a great job with all the details.Your story is so funny, it remindes me of my husband and his brothers, every time they are together that's what they do, and I hate it!

Love the cake!! I had to do a WWE cake a few years ago, I couldn't figure out how to do the ring, so I just ended up doing the logo. Yours looks how I had envisioned mine. And...I definitely know what you mean by the boys wrestling...it always ends with someone crying!!

Great job on the cake! I would say it's "cute," but I guess most guys wouldn't want their Wrestle Mania cake to be considered "Cute!" :)
